After consultation within CVWW, the Church of England Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Clubs (CESSAC) agreed to take on the management of this much-loved club at Gibraltar Barracks and on 12 January 2026, after an extensive refurbishment, the club was re-opened as a CVWW collaborative venture. With help from the CO, the RE Association and others, the Jackson Club has been re-fitted and re-equipped to serve another generation of RE soldiers and staff as they live, work and train at Gibraltar Barracks. For many years the club has been well known as a unique space where soldiers of all ranks can gather to eat, relax, connect and find support. Famous for its simple fare of ‘Cheezy Beanz’ the club looks set to continue the legacy of of MDSH for years to come.
