The Council of Voluntary Welfare Work (CVWW) is a non profit charity and exists as an association of charitable organisations providing welfare services to the Armed Forces. Membership of CVWW does not impair the independence, initiatives and methods of work for any of the independent charities but does provide a link between the voluntary organisations and the Service Authorities, with whom there is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
CVWW does not fund-raise for itself but encourages public support for its member organisations, which are independent charities in their own right. Those wishing to donate towards the work of the Council are encouraged to access the websites of whichever individual CVWW member organisation they have a particular interest in and donate as suggested. Sadly, Sandes Soldier’s Homes is no longer providing services to H.M. Forces but their website remains active.
